THE EXPERIENCE
PRE-RIDE
Several days before the ride, we supply directions to the best trail head pre-determined by your
preferred riding adventure and current weather. Since weather is a major factor in determining the
best trail, it's best to be available by phone, email or message so we can make last minute changes if
needed.

Upon arrival at trail site you are greeted by your guide and the best horses suited for your trip. Our
wranglers are prepared to involve you with grooming and preparing the horses if that is the type of
adventure you want or they will be ready for brief instructions for those who want to simply relax
and enjoy the ride.

THE RIDE
As you sit atop your faithful steed, your experienced and knowledgeable wrangler will welcome
questions and serve as your guide for points of local interest and Sonoma's extraordinary beauty.

While riders are not permitted to take their hands off the reins, if you bring a camera that slips into
your pocket, our wranglers are more than willing to help you take some great photos. We enjoy
your photos and with your permission love to share them on our blog,
http://gohorsebackriding.blogspot.com/.
THE DETAILS
Horses come in varying sizes and need to be mounted on remote trails. Some physical
limitations apply.

As a general rule, riders need to weigh less than 220lbs and be able to mount without a block.
We can make arrangements for larger horses but need to know in order to accomodate.

All riders must be physically capable of controlling and staying on their horse.

Common sense a must. Here are some real life examples of riders we couldn't service;
*If you just had surgery...horseback riding isn't for you.
*If you have any body part in a cast...horseback riding isn't for you.
*Have children under 7 years old...horseback riding isn't for them (ask us about special
activities for children).
*Want to sit your toddler in front or back of you while in the saddle...horseback riding isn't
for you.
*Uncomfortable with a little dirt or sweaty animals...horseback riding isn't for you!

Most importantly, horses are animals and occasionally we have had to cancel or reschedule a
ride due to their inherent ability to get sick or injured at the most inconvenient times. Just like
human athletes, a horse may need some special attention and while we always hope that their
time doesn't interfere with the "big game," once in a while it simply does.

We are a small stable and offer a more personalized experiences with trained horses that are
often more than not, horses that show in reining, drill team or cutting.

With your patience and understanding, we will substitute and rearrange our rides to the best
of our (and their) ability.

Please call and we will be happy to go over any or all of our horse riding experiences.
